Anemones and Corals
Jewels of the Seas
Anemones and corals belong to the group (phylum) Cnidarians - this name comes from the Latin 'cnidae' meaning 'nettle'.
All species within this group have stinging cells for protection and to catch prey!

Look out for Beadlet Anemones and Strawberry Anemones you might spot whilst rockpooling and learn about the corals and anemones which live in deeper waters!
Watch the Beadlet Anemones open up as the tide rises!
