The Wonderful World of Wembury
The Wonderful World of Wembury is our most popular classroom presentation.
The session introduces our amazing rockpool species & habitats found locally and covers the Seashore Code, finishing with an interactive session looking at strandline items such as cuttlefish bones, mermaids' purses and marine mammal vertebrae.

Wonders of the Ocean
We offer a classroom based quiz session exploring some of the amazing species and habitats living within our global ocean and the benefits they give us humans. Transform your students into ocean detectives and challenge them to work together to solve our ocean wonders quiz!
The Deep
This interactive session includes exploring the different ocean zones and the amazing adaptations species need in order to survive and thrive in the deep, dark sea!
We will finish the session by challenging your students to design their own uniquely adapted deep sea creature!
Super Seaweed
Super Seaweed sessions were originally developed thanks to funding from Western Power Distribution.
These sessions include practical STEM themed activities with hands on workshops examining the use of seaweed in various industries, such as food, cosmetics and nutrition. Practical activities include making seaweed (sodium alginate) jelly, seaweed smoothies and seaweed lip balm!
Super Seaweed sessions can also link very well to Women in STEM themed careers sessions, aimed at encouraging girls to consider studying STEM subjects to a higher level.
Although developed for secondary school providers, these sessions can be adapted to the age and ability of your students.
School Assemblies
We offer school assemblies on a wide array of marine wildlife and conservation topics including, World Ocean Day (June 8th each year), National Marine Week (summer holidays) or ocean plastic. We can also tailor an assembly to your topic needs. We usually ask for a donation for assemblies, made payable to Devon Wildlife Trust.
We would love to work with you and your students - whatever their age or ability and whatever your topic, please Contact Us to discuss your requirements in more detail or BOOK NOW
